Scandi Design
Scandi or Scandinavian interior design is a blend of textures and soft hues to make a room feel warm and inviting. The minimalistic style is a combination of beauty, simplicity, and functionality. Most furniture arrangements are uncluttered giving the space a cozy and content feeling described as hygge.
In a Scandi-designed room, white walls, a neutral palette with pops of color, and natural textures like wood and stone are a given. You can also expect the floors to be bare wood and windows to be large to emphasize the light streaming in through.
Cottagecore
Centered on a romanticized western agricultural life, cottagecore interior design is uncomplicated, comfortable, and relaxing. With natural colors, graceful shapes, and texture-rich essentials the cottagecore style allows you to live a pastoral fantasy.
Some of the major cottage design elements are open shelving, exposed beams, and woodwork. Keeping it simple is the guiding principle. Kitchens are open to other rooms, balconies and window seats allow guests to enjoy the views, and rooms are adorned with flat panel doors and beadboard wall panels.
Dark Kitchens
Dark kitchens have been on the rise for the past few years but are now at their peak (searches increasing by 90%). Whether it’s an all-black touch or navy splashes, and cool gray tones – the ability to add a mysterious and unique touch has interior designers jumping on the dramatic and daring trend.
Home Tech

The links between art, aesthetics, health, and wellbeing are nothing new. Applying it to your home environment, however, is beginning to gather momentum.

Cocooning Furniture
Squishy sofas and snuggly fabrics have become the go-to since the start of the pandemic. ‘Homely’ and comfortable are the trending decors right now. Especially with the onset of Covid-19, a place to lay down as much as to sit is a must-have at home.

Textured Walls/Furniture
Textured walls have been around in 2020 and it looks like it continues to be a big theme for 2021. Not only that, but textured furniture has started to gain attention as well. Glass panes have become fluted, tiles twisted, and wallpapers explore the three dimensional. Now, cabinets, desks, wardrobes, and sideboards give the same touch-me texture and effects.
Warm & Earthy Paint Tones
The word “neutral” may make you think “boring” but people have found themselves increasingly drawn towards the warmer, inviting, and friendlier tones. From deep reds and tans to cool grays and beiges, picking a color palette that reminds you of the outdoors makes for a soothing home.
Biophilic Design
Biophilic design is all about bringing the outdoors in, and indoors out. It focuses on incorporating nature rather than as an afterthought. More people are stuck living in the cities than ever before and science has proven once again that nature helps us feel good and be healthy.

These areas are extensions of our living space and can provide us with spaces to relax, along with the possibility to remain social. Japandi
Japandi is a hybrid trend. A mixture of Scandinavian design and Japanese aesthetic to create one that brings the best of both worlds together. Although they come from different sides of the world, both styles have the same principles. They both emphasize the importance of creating spaces that are function-driven and exercise minimalism.
While Scandi interiors have the tendency to be antiseptic, Japanese rich color palettes give the room more warmth. Where Japanese spaces can get overly polished, the rustic details in Nordic design add variance.
